Grilled Turkey Burgers

I absolutely LOVE turkey burgers, but I am very picky with them. So, I decided to start making my own! I've also brought these on trips, and they heat up very nicely. You can have them either on a regular hamburger bun, or do a lettuce bun. If you're doing a lettuce bun, I suggest having the lettuce separate so it doesn't get soggy when you reheat your patty. This recipe makes about 4 burgers.

You will need:

1 lb. lean ground turkey

1/4 c. diced yellow onion

1 jalapeno, minced

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. black pepper

1/4 tsp. cumin


Mix all ingredients together evenly. I use my hands, but you can use a wooden spoon too. Separate into 4 even balls, and flatten to desired size. Grill until middle is completely cooked and serve!


I also love to put some fresh tomatoes and avocado on these! So good and a nice twist on a hamburger.



I also love to pair these with some fresh grilled vegetables or some sweet potato fries for a healthy, hearty dinner and/or lunch!
